The Snoobi accessibility-check function is in beta-test

Web accessibility ensures that all users, including people with disabilities, can fully use your website. Snoobi’s accessibility function helps you identify issues based on the WCAG guidelines.(Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

We use an open source component called 'Pa11y' to handle the details.

The panel shows the most used web pages, with additional information that can be selected as metrics such as Exits and Entries. The last check is maintained complete with data and time when that last check was performed.

By clicking on the [i]-button the actual check is performed on that page.
For the check to function the page should be accessible without the need to login.
If a url that will be checked contains url-parameters then these are ignored and the check will be performed on the 'base' url.

There are 3 issue types, the level can be selected from the Panel options:

  1. Errors – Critical problems that fail WCAG criteria and must be fixed.
  2. Warnings – Potential accessibility issues that may require review.
  3. Notices – Informational messages to help improve accessibility but not direct failures.

There are also 3 WCAG Levels, these can also be selected from the panel options

  1. A – Minimum level: essential for basic accessibility.
  2. AA – Standard level: required by most legal frameworks (e.g., EU).
  3. AAA – Highest level: advanced accessibility, often optional.

For more details on web site accessibility, visit the W3C WCAG Overview.

For more details on European Union on the Web Accessibility Directive, visit the Official EU Digital Accessibility Portal.

When the Snoobi accessibility check is performed and ready then a new window appears.

At the top this shows the url for which url the check was performed.

* Share - to share the report in an e-mail
* Print - print the report
* Open the page in a window
* Help shows the shortened inline help

At the top right is an image of the page, which is visible as long as the page is available.

  • The information about the error, warning, or notification is in English.
  • The link to Search in w3.org provided allows you to quickly search for the error, etc. on the WCAG website and contains details; it uses the message and Duckduckgo to search.
  • The "Type" shows the type of error, the "Explanation" explains the error, and the "Context" explains where in the source code of the web page the error or warning can be found.
  • Scroll to see all errors, warnings, or notifications.
  • The window can be closed with the "X" in the upper right corner or the CLOSE button at the bottom.

We recommend checking regularly, but especially when changes are made to the website.

☞Please note: if your website pages use a cookie banner, this may cause errors or warnings that are beyond your control. We cannot prevent this, but you can view them in the 'Context' column.
