Content - Goals

With goals, you can define pages (or events if these are defined) that are important in determining whether visitors take certain desired actions on your site - also called a conversion.
Goals show how many visitors have visited a page or group of pages that is set as the target at some point during their site visit.

Conversions are based on Snoobi Goals.

Goal pages are for example:

  • Confirmation page of an online order
  • Confirmation page of a contact request (after submitting a form)
  • Authentication page for a quotation request
  • confirmation page for signing up for a newsletter or RSS feed
  • Downloads of key brochures and price lists

To analyze goals, they must be configured via the Goal settings. Because your choice of goals determines the conversion rate of your website, it is advisable to NOT set general pages (homepage, About us page) or landing pages for ads as a goal.

Show details

In the Web Analytics menu, select Content and click Goals. The data are displayed as a table or chart, depending on the last selection made (see panels).

What is shown

The panel displays information (such as number of visits, number of visitors, etc.) of the goals within the selected time range. See Metrics for an explanation of the data analysis. The panel displays only converted visits and visitors, so you can easily see which ads, keywords and sources have brought the best visitors.

Tips

If you are an administrator, you can see which pages form a particular goal, go to Settings, Content, Goals. Move the mouse over the lines; your see an i appear on the line. Click on the i to see which pages belong to the respective goal.

Of all visits shows the percentage of visitors within the selected time range that has achieved the goal in question. The higher the percentage, the better you pull people towards these goals. You can compare conversion rates by clicking on a goal.

Conversion value is shown when at least one goal is assigned a monetary value in the settings. The value grows as more visitors reach the goal.
